We are so happy and blessed to get to hold our sweet little girl. Bree arrived on December 22, 2010 at 11:14am. She wasn’t suppose to be here until January 1, 2011 but my doctor thought it would be a good idea to go ahead and induce since I had been having high blood pressure for the past few weeks. I went to my normal check up on Tuesday December 21 and had extremely high blood pressure this visit so after checking my blood pressure 3 different times and making me lay down each time for 20 minutes he came back in the room and said well, would you like to have this baby this week?? Are you kidding me?? Yes, I would love that! He told me to go to the hospital the next morning and be there by 5:30am. This was not new to us since I was induced with Blake. I was also very excited because I have a good friend that works in labor and delivery and was scheduled to be working Tuesday and Wednesday of this same week! I went home and packed my bags, picked up my house (thank you for cleaning mom) and made sure that everything was ready for Christmas as well! We stayed at my parents that night so that they could take care of Blake that next morning. We were at the hospital by 5:10am and so ready to meet our little girl! The nurse came in and started my IV, took my blood pressure and this time my blood pressure was 166 / 115 (I’m sure that knowing I was really fixing to have another baby had nothing to do with my high blood pressure this particular morning)! :) At 7:00am James told me that he did see my friend Amy and that she would be my delivery nurse! She came in and checked me about 8:00am and I was already at a 4! I believe when I got my epidural with Blake I was at a 4! I guess you are just tougher the second time around. :) Dr. Godfrey came in around 9:00am and broke my water. He told me that we should expect to have a baby here around late afternoon. At about 10:15am I was having major contractions and noticed they were 7 minutes apart then 5 minutes and then they were 2 minutes apart. This was when I said that I NEEDED an epidural! Once I got the epidural I felt great but a few minutes later I knew that something was up when I started to feel lower back pain. I told Amy and she said that this could mean that the baby was face up but that she would check to see if she could tell. I just thought O NO not FACE UP! Blake was face up and that is why I had to push for 3 HOURS! Once she checked she said no, she is not face up but you are at a 10, we need to push and I need to call Dr. Godfrey!! I pushed through a few contractions and then she told me to stop and wait on Dr. Godfrey. I remember her saying “Dr. Godfrey doesn’t like it when I deliver his babies!” LOL Ok so now I am just laying there waiting on him to get there. Before I knew it he came running in a few minutes later to have me push through two more contraction before he was holding our sweet baby girl! She was perfect and in great health with a healthy set of lungs!!! Thank You Lord!

Congrats again!!! She's precious!!!
Oh my gosh! That sounds like an "easy' delivery. Obviously not easy, but compared to your first and my 18 hours of labor, it sounds better! Can't wait to meet her!
Awwhh Brooke, I know I can not wait either untill they play together!! and then Berklee will have to marry Blake, haha! Are you for arranged marriages?? ;)
