ANNABEL AID ‘09
Annabel Leigh Villadiego was born Thursday, April 30, 2009 to her loving parents Jorge and Carrie. They experienced a pretty routine pregnancy and couldn't wait to see their little girl. Just about the time they had it all figured out, life pitched 'em a curve. Upon her debut, Annabel was immediately rushed to the NICU. She was under some sort of lamp, glowing blue, her eyes covered with a little paper mask in that sterile room, while mom and dad scrambled to figure out what was going on. Four days later Jorge and Carrie learned their little girl had Trisomy 18 or "Edwards Syndrome", which is caused by a chromosomal defect. With the lowest expectation, Jorge and Carrie brought Annabel home. She is still with them fighting for her life. Saturday June 27, 2009 in Wichita Falls Texas there will be a charity art auction by day, followed by a night of music. The intent is to raise money for Jorge and Carrie in this time of crisis, as well as contribute to awareness and research into Trisomy 18. Please join us as we celebrate a tiny miracle named Annabel Leigh. Saturday, June 27, 2009 Charity Auction will be held in the Market Street parking lot, near Ultra Cuts 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
